Jennifer, a lifelong resident of Fairfield County in the “Midlands” of South Carolina (the “Midlands” is a diverse outdoor residential, recreational and sports area), received a degree in Social Work from Winthrop University.

The “Midlands” is absolutely teeming with hunting and fishing opportunities, dog sports such as obedience and field trial, horse events such as polo, steeplechase and trail riding plus various horse show disciplines. Two of the more noteworthy equine facilities are the 10,000 acre Camden Open Hunt and the South Carolina Equine Park also in Camden.

Jennifer has been an avid horsewoman since she was four years old with her horse show career beginning at the age of five. Since that time, she not only competed in several of the riding disciplines (including trail riding in the beautiful State Parks in and around South Carolina) but also trained and cared for her horses and managed her barn. Through the years she has shared her love for horses by teaching others to ride and care for them; Jennifer is fully aware of the total package it takes to responsibly care for horses. Horses have always been at the center of her life, firm in her belief that they are the loveliest creatures God created.

Jennifer is an outdoors person, enjoying hiking on her own country acreage with her dog, KassiVeda, and relaxing around the fire pit with Kassi and friends on cool starry South Carolina evenings. Jennifer enjoys swimming, kayaking, scuba diving, dog training, volunteering at animal shelters and gardening; her other interests include church, reading, modeling, cooking, cross stitching and writing for both a South Carolina pet magazine and a local newspaper. She and Kassi share happiness by entertaining shut-ins with Kassi’s many tricks!
